Better safe than sorry. Thanks, Ken.

Great trip report. Been to SMA several times and have good friends there. Glad you liked it but it has becomes much more expensive (like everything else) in the last few years.

Thanks lizard lips
Yes you are right things can be expensive there but once you know the place it isn't so bad. The house cost $33 dollars per day. It was a bit out of town but nice and quiet. I like the place and would go back many things to do there. I would also like to try other places also

We really love San Miguel and the other highland cities. We so need another trip to the mainland. Enjoyed your report. We laughed when we read the reference to Oxnard. John lived in Oxnard as a child in the 50s and several times when we have driven through Mexico and we are in a agricultural area, he has made the reference to Oxnard.

Thanks for sharing your great vacation.

Great trip report Don and Joan, and it is welcome here! I lived in San Miguel De Allende for three years, 1980 Through 1982. It was a lot cheaper then, and less congested. I returned after 20 years and published an article of that experience and the changes I saw. That was already 10 years ago.

One of your fellow experimental mosquito plane pilots gave me a memorable ride in Mulege. I think he tried to bring my stomach up through my mouth like a Pinto Bass that is brought up from 300' deep. It was fun though. We did some rolls, too. :o
