I told my neighbor to stop me if I ever started to line the yard with half buried tires or paint the tree trunks white.

Black, yellow, and white plastic bags do wonders on the cactus.

For a great drip system install, contact David K... like I said before, he did a fantastic job setting it all up. All I had to do was mark where my plants were going to be located and he took care of the rest. It has worked flawless for over 3 years now!

San Diego cacti

Bob H- Love your cactus garden. And from the view of Mount Soledad in the background, it looks like we are neighbors. Do you live in Clairemont?

We can grow just about anything in this neighborhood. We have a great microclimate up here on the Mesa.

I don't have a lot of cacti, but I do have two desert tortoises wandering in the backyard. To conserve water, I collects rainwater and have a graywater system hooked up to the washing machine.

These are the latest blooming succulents; the tortoises love to eat the flowers.

Sigh... Why can't I get my image links to work properly?

That is Black Mountain in the background. We are in Rancho Penesquitos. Thanks for the kind comments.

Well, have you a Photobucket free account or another photo hosting web site?

Love the colors you have!

Say.........did you use old barn wood for the fence? Excellent results what ever it is.

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.
