Don?t .start a business in Baja
Don?t Start a business in Baja if you don?t understand Both the Laws and the costumes in the aria where you are. Spend at least a Year and better 4
or 5 studying these things and also study the market. Ask lots of Questions of lots of people
Ask your self these questions Is there a big demand for my product here?
Can I provide this product both better and at a lower Price than the others?
Can I get Reliable delivery of the raw Materials I need to produce my product>
Also it is a good idea to try not to open a business close to some one else doing something similar. this is asking for trouble.
Don?t rent your place of Business if you cant afford to bye it don?t do it, If you rent then you have a new partner to answer too. It is customary for
Mexican landlords to rent you something for low rent to start with and as you start to make a little money they keep rising the rent. They will
always have a good month writher or not you do. This doesn?t mean they are bad people it is just the way it is.
.
Last don?t take a partner, you don?t need one and you will not survive with one.

Common sense and live and learn
Use common business sense and realize that you'll make mistakes (that you will learn from). These two points are a fact of business life anywhere you
are, baja or otherwise. I disagree with a few of the points that were posted in this thread, but that's my opinion.
I'd like to also add this...
if you intend to start a business (in baja or somewhere else) don't expect to walk into a place of business and chew the owners ear off in order to
"get information". Its rude and makes you look like an idiot. People in baja are very trusting and will generally help you out, but its rude. Over
the years I've learned to "figure these people out" and I don't give anything away unless I get something in return. That is the only way to survive
in business no matter where you are.
Don't be discouraged to start a new enterprize in baja. The more diverse, the better.

You have to wear costumes to work in Baja...that is getting a bit much I'd think...

Costumes in the aria?
I had once heard that "all the world's a stage." Apparently, Baja is no different, except I guess you have to have a good singing voice, too.
