by August things will be completely different...hell...it may even be paved by then...yes I'm the eternal optimist. They are advancing quickly now and have lots of equipment onsite...so the conditions are radically different every few days....so check in just before you come down....but go slow at night as there are lots of cows on the road from the little ranches around.

just a wee update...the crews are hard at work every day and I'd say well over half the pot holes are gone....the parts they are working on are now excellent...graded and new gravel being laid yesterday...I'm so stoked! Our quick run into Vizcaino for the last of the tile for the new suite wasnt so bad after all!

We can't wait for the repairs to be done!

We'll be back in Asunción the middle of next month, and we are looking forward to a more relaxing drive. No suit cases on the roof this time.

Shari:
We got your label-maker and extra label cartridges at Costco yesterday.

Shari, how about a fish report? Do you think that the Dorado
will show like they did last year? Or is the water temp nowhere as warm this year? WHat is biting now?

the town folk are stoked that the yellowtail showed up over a month earlier than usual probably due to those early hurricanes pushing warm water up earlier too. Halibut are being caught on the beaches and the calico bite is insane with enormous fish....Juan's out on a charter as I type....gorgeous day!

Here are a couple pics from last week
