Hello everybody first time post I hope this helps someone.
1 Mile = 1600 Meters http://www.yotellevo.mx/de-ensenada-a-bahia-asuncion.htm. if you go to this site wich is in español and scroll down it show you the total amount in kilometers 854km. times 1.6 = 533.75 miles.
It also gives you a detailed explanation of how to get there. 'Yo te llevo".
It means "I'll take you there"

Ya mean the ones with "Se Habla Chino" signs sticking out of them? When they did the section from the entronque a Asuncion to Bahia Tortugas they had lots of men and equipment. This one is more like a country project. i like all the rollers. They're used for filling large vados and cambering the road - or should I say that's what the road crew believes. I asked about a "Sheep's Foot" and they replied "Ain't got no stinking Ovas around here".

I do like all the new rockwork walls that block the sand from continuing on and exiting the road - now it'll back up and we will have the road to Algeria Hell in no time.

The new road will be great. Two hundred ton overloaded big rigs will fix'er up in no time at 95 mph.

Right Off The Cummins Website...quotes are mine"

" Is the engine warranty affected if ULSD is not used?

Yes. Improper fuel use of sulfur levels greater than 15-ppm with Cummins Tier 4 Interim engines can result in denial of warranty coverage for any damage caused by using fuel with sulfur content greater than 15-ppm."

I'm pretty sure that this is what the car rental places look at IF YOU TELL THEM THAT IS WHERE YOU ARE GOING. If you don't tell them where you are going then how do they know? When you return the car and the total mileage is more than double that distance it doesn't mean anything either since you could have driven 1000 miles just running around Ensenada.

From University Ave/805 in San Diego to Baja Cactus = 250 miles
Baja Cactus to Vizcaino Pemex (north west) = 267 miles
Pemex to Asuncion = 70 miles

So 587 miles give or take
