Local Life presentes: Baja Freestyle Fest
Greetings to all my Baja loving friends!!
I've made a special appearance to tell you all about this great event that is being organized by a small group of young men and women that wish to
achieve a higher consciousness in our city.
Our idea is to create a platform for young, local talent, where they can showcase their work and get their name out there.
This event has absolutely no government financing and the organizing team is doing everything voluntarily, with no hopes or desires of making a
profit, we are merely hoping to boost our local businesses and thus create a local pride mentality, eliminating some business for the large chain
stores,restaurants, etc. and bringing more business to local produce stores, farmers, wine makers, etc.
The event will take place this Saturday, October 19th at the local beach, Playa Hermosa.
The entrance to the event is absolutely FREE of charge. The only sales will be made by local wine makers, craft beer makers, and of course all the
local food stands that will be present with a large array of cheap, yummy morsels made with local produce.
It's a family event so feel free to bring your kids, grand kids, nephews and nieces!
There will be live music from local bands from 11 am to 7pm, among the invited bands we have:
La Ayahuasca
Synthecia
Cuatros
The Greens
Tasabrozo
Boreal Magma
Hipogrifos
Marea Roja
SemiJahs
Genres include rock, reggae, ska, funk and cumbia!
We'll also have some awesome local sports demonstrations including, but not limited to:
BMX
Skate
Surf
Roller Derby
Mixed Martial Arts
kickboxing
beach volleyball
Gymnastics
Dance teams
Cheer leading teams
Break dance
And more...
We'll also be visited by a few world renowned surprise guests!!
It'll be super fun, and at night, for all you surfers and SUP peeps, join us for a night time paddle out in the bay with neon bracelets/necklaces,
glow sticks and floating candles!!! It'll be a full moon so bring your camera and get ready for the fireworks!!
