Need a physician house call in the Rosarito, Tijuana, Ensenada area?

There is a new company, Baja Helping Hands, that has a doctor that can come to your home, they also offer an initial intake and assessment, one free doctor visit after that to your home, and one free call a month to the service included in the yearly membership. In addition, there are services offered for home care at an additional cost.. The membership cost is $75 American for a year membership. The Director is Sandi Straka, had been an LVN for 35 years in the US and is a resident of Bajamar.

The Mexican licensed physician available is Dra. PC Irizarry who an American citizen who graduated Xochicalco Medical school in Ensenada. Brochures are available for further information. Realize that if you make an appointment, this will be considered a house call and payment is expected. The Doctor will do an initial history and physical, and discuss any questions or concerns you may have on the first visit.

You then are able to have another free home visit by a physician included in your membership. Any additional home house calls by Dra. Pilar will cost $500 pesos if you are not a member, or if have used up your membership free visit. Realize that the transportation and/or gas expenses are included in this amount. Payment is required upon arrival of the physician unless other arrangements have been made. The reason this is being mentioned is that the Doctora went on a home visit yesterday in Punta Banda, discussed some health issues with two patients at their home that included their lists of medications, and then it was insisted by the patients that it was only a visit to "discuss" the plan and that the visit was a business proposition so they were not going to pay for the consult.

You may U2U me to make an intake appointment with the Dra.

Maybe put one up here when available.
I've discussed this plan briefly with Dra. Janene, and, for everybody's sake, utmost clarity toward patient's expectations and responsibilities is advised.
This promises to be an excellent service and I wish them the best.

There's a perfect 'cure' for it, and what ails you too... the little red 'x' in the upper right corner.

You just can't resist coming in and insulting someone over "The World According to Dennis", can you? You must be carrying a lot of hate, too bad you aren't looking for your own cure. And please, spare me any political diatribe you have brewing. You're not going to change my mind, and i'm CERTAINLY not going to change yours.

Dennis,

I guess that "socialism is not a disease" comment went over my head. What did Buddha mean by that comment Dennis in light of his comments on the doctor's home visits?

Why not go to the horse's mouth? I guess i see rural medicine and 'housecalls' as peole helping people, a refreshing change and a positive goal. Seems more of a return to social medicine, where equality is being sought and unambulatory patients can be seen.

My mistake was using a dirty word here on this board, i lost my head for a sec. I was taught to not 'discuss' politics or religion, especially with zealots. My bad, screwed up again. Mean-time, more power to you Doc, and your organization. Once again, Buena suerte and keep smilin'.

Hey....I didn't bring up socialism. You did.
If you think you're entitled to sacred, private comments around here, take them to the OT.
In the mean time, I'll continue to speak as I see fit. I know the rules of engagement around here and don't need you to redefine them.

Don't you think Socialism is more of a government effort on behalf of the people, and from what I have gleaned, Socialism and private enterprise are diametrical to each other. BTW, I think Dennis was just making a partial tongue-in-cheek comment.

Personally I think it's a great idea and if I lived in the area I would subscribe.

Personally # 2
I am a rabid adherent of anti-socialism. Familiarity breeds contempt 101. Arguing about politics reminds me of two dogs fighting over the color of a fire hydrant.

Getting back to reality...

Does the good doctora have a special area of medicine she is fond of? I wouldn't mind knowing medical doctors who are not afraid of a little cardiology.

She is a seventh day Adventist and a vegan. She is an advocate for natural medicine. We went together to a Doctor friend of hers in Ensenada that specializes in Rejuvenation and Cell stem therapy techniques. I did meet with Dr. Hino once because a patient told me of how well his stem cell therapy treatment works, but Dr. Hino did not give me any information. This Dr. (by the way, both this doctor and Dr. Hino are biologists, not MD's) is not affiliated with Dr. Hino in any way. Dr. Hino is now working in conjunction with Jean-Paul Bitterlin of El Rey Sol who is preparing meals and offering lodging at Hotel Posada del Sol for Dr. Hino's patients. I will not recommend any Doctor or PHD who will not give me information on at least how this procedure works.

The Doctor I did go visit with Dra. Pilar gave me a brochure on his treatments, but I need to check on a few things before I will recommend this to anyone. Dra. Pilar wholeheartly believes in alternative medicine and contrary to public belief I take a much more conventional approach to medicine. In any case, she really cares for her patients and wants to find the best solution for them.

Good idea, due diligence is like a prerequisite for doctors. But why were you soliciting appointments in the beginning?

It's a new service. Call it solicitation, or call it advertising, but exposure seems necessary.

Greengoes, I am talking about checking out the Stem Cell therapy before recommending it, not the new company.

This sounds like an excellent program, but seems more like a free enterprise entrepreneurial endeaver than a socialistic one. Best of luck to those involved.
