If you figure a taco at about a buck and a half, it would bring it to about $1000.00, with some pico de gallo thrown in.

Oh how very clever and listo you nomads are. By the by someone stepped up with 15,000 P almost immediately. Blue book in Kansas does not = blue book in Baja. In fact "blue book" usually only means what a seller or buyer wants you to believe about a given price. The car market is and always has been driven by market forces. With the advent of places like CarMax, used cars have become a commodity. Generally you can expect to get about what it's worth. (caveat here, not withstanding some bumpkin that just fell off a turnip truck and buys a used car from some greased up dealer in LA.) If you want to know what a vehicle is worth check what they're selling for. There are umpteen million sites on the interweb.

We had this nice VW that we recently drove down. It was a pretty nice ride and had been serviced regularly. We inherited another ride and decided to let someone get a very nice car for a reasonable price. We did not even answer the questions about pesos or us bucks because we figgered that any numskull with half a brain would know that 15,000 US of A dollars for a 1990 VW ANYTHING is ridiculous. Boy were we wrong. What the HELL were you thinking? Anyway, some reasonable sole contacted us, asked for a description over the phone, was interested enough to come take a look, and made a reasonable offer. Car sold, case closed. He's happy, were happy but apparently some grumpy nomads are not. Go figure??
