Rental CAr Company in La Paz - Recommendations?

well, now we have progressed all the way to La Paz via
flying and I am wondering about renting a car at the airport
and if one company is better than another as far as rates and customer service - I also notice that the daily rate with some includes insurance but not for the actual rental car - is it a good idea to get insurance for the car up here with a company? as I know rates can be high over the border by the day...
thanks for any insights and info

I picked up a car at National, just off the airport, back in Aug. Don't remember the rate, but it was the best of my alternatives. Didn't feel like I had been robbed. I always just get the insurance from the rental agency. Avis used to have the insurance added in but I'm not sure that is the case anymore. I have always had good service from Avis at the cabo airport however. I think I checked once and found that you couldn't get an insurance policy for you and then apply it to a rental car. You might check though.

My best rental experience ever in Cabo was National, and because of that I joined their Emerald club.
