More info from Cliff:
Russ had a topic on 4x4 expedition trucks. I thought these riggs fit his topic. These 2 couples had their riggs sent from Austraila to Chile
then drove to the tip of s. america and headed for California, This was the 2nd leg of there trip around the world. Spent 2 evenings hearing about
their adventures. thanks Cliff

4 X 4 Expedition trucks
I guess this one qualifies with honors.
I met this group of German youngsters about 4 years ago at a viewing site in the Columbia Gorge. They bought this airport plane mover back in
Deutschland, shipped it to the USA, then had driven it (slowly) from New York to eastern Washington/Oregon by the time I met them. Quite a group of
adventurers.
They were just starting their trip, though...as they were Argentina-bound. Seems that SA destination is very popular with road warriors lately.
These folks are the 4th group either going to or coming from Argentina that I've run into on my own recent road trips.
Makes you wonder where in the world they are now??
p.s. They told me that rig makes about 6mpg. I can feel their pain at the pump!
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

I met a German couple a few years back in Loreto. They also had shipped the rig from Australia to Chile.

4x4 on a smaller scale than most. lift, skid plates, small all terrain truck tires, and a bunch of recovery gear (that I've not yet needed)
25mpg is handy in Baja
