NEW BANK in Mulege!!!!

As a public service, after listening to all the whining and complaining about ATM fees, Bank Charges, difficulties in opening accounts etc, I have decided to open a bank here in Mulege. It will be located at my home in Loma Azul. There will be a 5 Gallon bucket and a coffee can wired to my gate. The large one is for deposits, the small one for withdrawals. Opening an account is easy, put your cash in an envelope, drive by and drop it in the large bucket, you may put your name on the envelope if you wish. Deposits are handled the same way, just drive by and leave the money. Withdrawals maybe handled by notifying me of the amount you wish to withdraw, by email, and the date you will coming by to get it.They will be placed in the coffee can. What could be simpler? AND There are NO FEES connected with this service....!!!!! No need to thank me, just another public service act, it is the CHRISTmas season, after all.

Speaking of robbing, my friend has his personal account at a bank on the US side of Tecate. It's called Rabobank but of course he likes to call it "Robabank! "

Just do it!

Oh yeah, and since GEICO has the Gecko for a mascot, you should post a picture of an unhappy John Gruden on the Inbox can....

It has always amazed me that while there are banks in Santa Rosalia, relatively nearby towns such as San Ignacio and Mulege not only have mo banks, but no ATMs. The friggin armored truck can't drive an hour in either direction?

There WAS a bank in Mulege...back in the day. On the left at the first stop sign as you drive into town past the Pemex. Unfortunately it closed within a few years.

Don't tell me that now Mulege's Bancomer and the adjacent ATM are closed, too? Good grief, turn your back for one second and disaster strikes. Please say it ain't so.

Of course Mulege still has a bank... for some 6-1/2 years or so now since Hurricane John 'way back.

Chuckie's new bank is special: no ATM fees except if you want to leave a fresh fish he may throw it in his smoker for you.

Now that's service. :bounce:

Speaking of new enterprises, Chuck why not sell baggies of Dehydrated Water for the next Chubasco to come through? Every home in the estero should have some on hand.

I stand corrected. Having never looked for a bank in Mulege, I just thought that Chuckie's post reflected the lack of a bank.

That said, Why no ATMs or banks in San Ignacio.:?:
