Mood: Depends on which way the wind is blowing

December in Baja

For the fourth time in the last few weeks, one of our neighbors' alarms went off at about 3:00 am.

Another break-in.

I woke up and the Rotts were still next to us, so I knew that we didn't have problems in our house.

I went back to sleep; there was nothing I could do to help and I have to be compos mentis enough to feed the dogs in the morning.

The grass is always greener....
and so, there is always a better spot in Baja

Where I Live is Not the Issue

There are showy houses built by Americans as second homes all around us and they are mostly unoccupied for most of the time.

These houses all have alarm systems and when they go off, nobody responds.

When I ask my friends about this break-in problem, they shrug and say, "Mexican Walmart."

wow. what a cavalier attitude. Why live in a crime ridden country like that and then show such disregard for your neighbors?

Dear norte, Taking Note of Your Personal Attack

Since I have foresworn cursing on the Internet as a New Year's Resolution, I will not respond with the first words that come to mind.

But I will state that I don't care what you think - you are a stupid troll.

P.S. I haven't foresworn insulting an ignoramus.
