Thank you for this Ensenada Doctora, and for the immense moral and psychological boost you gave me on that painful trip north. It was you and no other
medical "authority" that convinced me I had a total urinary blockage, and being the old decomposing EMT that I am, that lit a fire under me. No longer
was it cool just to head north, but head north in a rush - a big rush. I know what septicemia does for a living and it raised goose bumps. How bad was
the blockage? 5 liters of water in, and perhaps 150 cc "out". Over 3 days. Not funny at all. The docs at IMSS in San Quintin did not like that at all.
But the "ride" starting with Antonio and sweetheart (mine!) Iselda was unbelievable. We arrived at US Customs, Antonio "bonnked" the siren, a lane was
cleared, we went to secondary, an extremely concerned US Customs Special Agent glanced at my passport, told me "Don't worry sir, we called an
ambulance and it is coming at top speed". CBP may be a PITA when crossing normally, but brother they did not even look in my suitcase in Antonio's
Ambulance. The RURAL SD ambulance crew was kind and efficient as can be. "Sharps? We Can Do That!"
I tried playing smartass this weekend, and took off out of bed like normal. A few hours later I flat ran out of steam. This kidney stuff knocked the
fart out of me. They've got me on a gram of Ciprofloxacin every 12 hours, plus other stuff.
I owe you all A BIG DEBT for your concern, your suggestions, comments, and recommendations. But standing tall, on a pedestal is our NOMAD friend
PARANEWBI
He followed the USA ambulance, went to the ER with me, helped me dress with my bad arm, shuttled me to the pharmacy for a gigantic bag of medications,
took me to Wal-Mart so I could get a cellular to keep in contact with the US medical doctors, drove me to the internal medicine specialist, to dinner,
to the motel, and finally to the Greyhound Terminal in San Diego so I could get the hell out of Dodge.
What can I say? Thank You's are feeble attempts at conveying my heartfelt appreciation to paranewbi. Criminy I even got shoes and a can opener at
Wal-Mart. A thousand dollars worth of meds to bring back. Yeah, they're HMO not Obamacare.
To hell with Bickering and Grousing....

They didn't write the Rx for those meds Blanca, so youbetcha they would be most appreciated.
Just a note, that my feeble attempt to help folks is limited to here in Asuncion with RV (and boat) electrical problems. It ain't much but my heart is
in it...

Here is the email I received today.
Minerva,
It is David E not David K. I do not know his last name. I will post your message on the board to see if he will respond directly to you.
Hi Janene,
Do you have Mr. David K last name. I need to look and see if his admitted to one of our hospitals. I have asked Tillie Foster but she doesn’t have
it.
Thanks,
Minerva Santos

Both Dah-veed (David E) and I (David K) have pretty well known last names, as we both have published articles, etc. Did you get it to her okay?

I assumed he would retry to email Minerva, and if it hadn't worked he would get back to us like he did the first time. What are your last names and
what articles did DavidE publish?

Just click on the link to our book 'The Old Missions of Baja & Alta California'... the last names for Max, Erline and I are on the cover! I have
also shown many maps I drew and my other Baja publications, all with my last name KIER included. (it rhymes with beer, fyi).
David E has written many articles for Peoples Guide to Mexico using the handle 'El Codo' : Here is one: http://thepeoplesguidetomexico.com/baja-roads-towns-and-beac...
and on the web site:
>>>editor’s note: The tireless David “el Codo” Eidell recruited Baja mule diva Teddi Montes to write this fantastic article for us. Big

Teddi is our very own 'Baja Bucko', as well.
