For Toyota fans, Fuller, Baker, Birch and Tinnemaha Creeks and Drainage

It all started a few months ago when my Montana son bought a new toy online in California and had it delivered to our home.

He said we could use it before he made it down here for part of the winter --- no way. It is too high tech for us! Big Blue has lots of bells and whistles --- oh, I said for Toyota fans, but this is mainly Toyota in body only.

So before a nasty virus came our way, we started having some fun and started exploring some drainage areas west of Big Pine.

These pictures are from areas around Fuller, Baker, Birch and Tinnemaha Creeks --- I just ride along. :-)

Tom wonders if we really think he can get in on his own. Don't feel bad Tom, I also need a step.

Up on Birch Creek this must be the favorite camping site for some local as they created a bench and it is difficult to see, but they have left thier BBQ there.

Ken checking out the fish in the creek--- he said there were a couple of good sized fish hanging out.

Big Blue looks pretty in our wide open spaces.

I think we were overlooking the Tinnemaha Creek at the beginning of the trail to Red Lake, but I am not sure. As I said, I was just along for the ride. It was an easy short walk down the the creek where the beaver have been quite active

And I took this picture with Autumn in mind --- it should be a magnificent spot. Right now however, the trees are budding early as they are being fooled by the ridiculously warm weather. Shoot, the bears are even out and the fish on the Owen's river are feeding like it is Spring!

And while I have no idea where we are, my son Ken is showing me he knows exactly where we are!

For backroad people, there are no end of roads around here, lots of old mines, ranch ruins, creeks, and a variety of terrain.

Baja, Big Blue may head your way!

If I remember correctly, it has a new Chevy V-8 engine, I will ask later and I think the transmission is a Ford.

It is one of those vehicles that the guy spent tons of money on knowing he would never recover all of it.

He will completely test it out before he takes it to Baja.
