Finding Nomads in Baja- Is there a way or need?

Traveling down in a month or so and though to stop where we might find Nomads now and then to say HI. Is there a way to locate some? Or are we all recluse enough to hide?

Just about every time I head south, I manage to meet some new Nomads, either coming or going.

A lot of times the travel schedule is off by a few days and the members are out of town when I'm coming into town.

Just mention the towns you're visiting and you may get some U2U messages from folk in those towns.

Go see BajaBlanca and Shari. There are some cool ladies.

If you stay at any of the popular nomad hotels, you can ask around at happy hour. Jardines de Baja ( south side of San Quetin ) Baja Cactus ( el Rosario ) La Mission ( catavina ) Cowboy or Mallarimo ( Guerro Negro ) Rice& Beans ( san ignacio ) there are many other places and new ones are popping up every year, but these are pretty much the old stand bys. It would be pretty cool to have "Baja Nomad" bumper stickers, maybe they do and I just don't know. Most folks traveling the peninsula are cool and easy to talk to, drive safe and enjoy

Working on something here (by the end of the year) that would create a way for people to note such info if they wanted to.

If you are open and friendly you will meet lots of people. There are many open and friendly nomads, but most of the gringos we have met in Baja are not members of this forum, and many are very nice and friendly people and love to share their experiences with you.

And if you don't speak any Spanish, learn just a few words and with that and your hands, you can have great conversations with the locals. Have fun

Have fun!
