I am always disappointed when I hit town on a Monday. But, Carlos and Esmeralda operate two restaurants and have kids. They obviously need a day off.

we stayed in the back on ground floor with our cat couple weeks ago on our way up and it was pretty much like all the other rooms we've stayed in when
we don't have pets.
I have stayed in 17 and 18 upstairs in the back and they are fine; quiet, as said, unless your neighboring rooms are fishermen who are up at
4:30-5am.......but you can't really make a call on that!

I'll admit that it has been almost a year since we have stayed there.
That said, the original office was the size of a closet, so I can't understand how they might have made a guest room out of it.
If they actually did move the office away from the guest rooms, it would be a great move, inasmuch as we have often stayed in room near the office and
folks tend to congregate there to drink coffee before dawn.
And, I also wish to give a shoutout to Fernando. He's not a family member, but he is a wonderful employee.

Sketchy at best. Could not get emails to load and neither could any of our traveling companions. Dinner was very good.
We stayed in room 2. Noise level was not bad. Up early with the birds and southbound.

Careful with the compliments, people. I agree with you all, but now the place might be jammed!!
Actually I wish them Buena suerte. One of the real treasures of Jardines is sitting in the courtyard in front of the office, drinking wine or having
a beer, and talking to the most friendly, interesting people traveling Mex 1.

Last week:
There is a lovely new, spacious office building next to the hotel. The old one was not turned into a room.
The accommodation and restaurant are as always. The WiFi was sketchy so we had to enjoy a walk the lush grounds. There was a noisy, full on c-cktail
party on the front patio which left trash laying around then degraded into an obnoxious dinner party at the restaurant, so we had free entertainment.
There are way too many key limes hanging in the trees. The freesias didn't wait for me and neither did spring. The whole place smelled of orange
blossoms. My dog had too much fun. The climate was too comfortable. The staff were too professional and our supper was too well presented.
It's just not normal. You wouldn't like it.
When the way comes to an end, then change. Having changed, you pass through.

for us, tons of wifi in #1 and #4...but also out on the patio with other nomads hither and yon....and gorgeous sorroundings....just an amazing place
to stay one has to take this corridor north or south...can't be beat; no way, no way....we love them!
dyslexia is never having to say you\'re yrros.

If sketchy wifi is the worst problem for Jardines...(as you travel south to get away from it all).
Then so be it!!!!!!!!

just made reservations for nite of May 9---asked for upper room in back--thanks to all the good personas on this website---- also made the next nite
reservations in San Ignacio at Hotel La Huerta---- ( thanks again )---
then we are staying one more nite in Tripui hotel and plan mothers day dinner at Sabor ! on a slow intro to Baja for mi novia------going to Los
Barriles for a few days and then back to San Diego county
PLEASE give me a heads up if my plan is goofy or something
I just found out of the norra race ---the motorcycles are due in San Ig. on mothers day so I made sure of a room the nite before
also I will post any new info to share upon my return approx.20 of may. I will consider it my dues as newbe here

Have fun... Great that you aren't trying to rush the drive. The center of Baja is far more interesting than the extreme ends that so many are in a
rush to get to.

I'm in room 19 upstairs at this very moment. WiFi is working this morning, I watched a Netflix movie. Couldn't connect last night though. Rooms are
quiet except the neighbor behind the hotel, dogs started barking at 5am...Oh well, Could be worse!!!

Stayed in room 12 last time. It was the strangest room I've ever stayed in and won't be returning to Jardines except to eat. Villas works for
me. (Room 11 looked nice from outside.) (No barking dogs at Villas.)

Since we are now mentioning other area options...
We will drive 200 miles in the dark to stay at Baja Cactus in El Rosario. There is no better Nomad Baja businessman than Antonio 'BajaCactus' and his
efforts for everyone's enjoyment and safety deserve our support.
I still have not seen a better room in Baja (or the U.S.) for under $50/ night, either!
Included in room, no extra charge: bottled U.S. water, coffee maker, satellite TV with English channels, telephone to anywhere, pressure boosted
shower, Internet cable port, heating and AC, also 24 hr. front desk and security cameras over parking areas, all king beds with pillow top mattresses.
