When I lived in Mexico City
Big change for me living in this little fishing village on East Cape from living in Mexico. I didn't much care for the smog but I loved my job.
Took me 6 hours in the morning to drive in, find a place to park. Then I'd leave right after lunch to find my house again before it got too dark.

It's a pretty overwhelming sight flying into the DF at night.

It's overwhelming enough during the day... buildings on literally every single surface, with huge tall mountains surrounding. No wonder it gets so
smoggy there.

And Iztaccíhuatl and La Malinche and, on clear days, Citlaltépetl (Pico de Orizaba)...

Is that really Mexico City???? Never been there, and it looks like I don't want to go.

I really like Mexico City. So much energy, so many activities, exudes culture wherever you look. Architecture. Art. Dance. Music.
In high school, I won the senior sash for The Most Individualistic and it seems it was appropriate. I like DF and all it has to offer.

It's a great city, and most of the cultural and touristy stuff (except Coyoacán and Xochimilco) is right smack in the center, never more than $5-$6
cab ride or a 5-peso metro ride from each other.
