BFG K/O next generation
After making inquiry of BFG, I received this response:
All Terrain T/A KO2 is still in the developmental stages. You may want to check back in the third quarter of this year for an update.

Hey John M, I really wanted a set of those, I really like the extra beefy sidewalls, I run 285/75r16 all terrain ko's on my 2500 ram diesel and they
perform muy bueno, I have always been a BFG guy

Just looked up a photo of those. I just bought a new set of 285/75/16's BFG AT's. Those new KO2's look to be the perfect tire for me when they come
out. I had no idea they were working on those. I might have held out and waited to get my new tires. I wonder if the new KO2's will have a load
range E? Have to wait and see.

Nitto Trail Grappler M/T. WAY better than BFG A/T in my opinion. Have them on my F250 Diesel 4x4 in LT295X70X18E. Awesome tires. Very aggressive tread
yet pretty quiet on the road. No where near as noisy as mud terrains. I quit running BFGs 15 years ago and I remember constant flats while driving in
Baja. Mine have 2.5 years and about 20,000 miles and have great, even wear. Lots of tread left.

To each their own. Been running BFG AT's since I was a kid. Only one flat when I ran over a push rod on the way to San Juanico. Personally, 18
incher's lack side wall height, more pinch hazard. Those new KO2's look right up my alley.
P.S. Do you have a newer Ford that came with 18 incher's stock?

I need to get new BFG/AT Baja Champions very soon. Tread's almost gone. Haven't had any flats on the current set and I've taken them on some very
chitty roads.
I hate that they're on 18" rims though.

I'd try to wait for the KO2's. I couldn't wait for new tires. Try to find out when they are coming out for sale.

I'm gonna try to wait, but that means no bad roads until I get new tires, as I don't wanna risk it. Not sure if I can wait 6 months.

Cooper Discoverer STT...
If this tire, I had them on in 2006... Great looking tire... but I gave it a D- due to its loud highway noise and terrible flotation in sand, re-named
them 'grave-diggers'.
It was great in mud, and it is a mud tire, after-all. I had to lower the pressure to 10 psi to get them to float the way other tires would at 15-20
psi.

Hi Brewer. Yes, my truck (2005) came stock with 18" wheels. That greatly limited my tire selection and Nitto was one of the few that had the size I
wanted. I have the yellow tonka truck Ford did in 05 and the factory wheels look great (to me) which is why I didn't want to do away with the 18s. I
agree it greatly limits the selection of tires. But I would still select the Nittos over the BFGs. Although I'm considering building a Baja F-150 2WD
with BFG race tires. Been seeing a nicely done F-150 in my neighborhood and love it. Baddass. Would fly down Gecko Road!
