Papa Noel Visits Baja. Best Wishes to All for the 2004 Baja Holiday Season

I would like to Wish all Baja Nomads and their family and friends Best Wishes during this 2004 holiday season, and hope that all your travels in Baja California may be festive and safe.

Photos of the Big Guy in the Red Suit shortly after landing his sleigh at Playa El Requeson on Dec 25, 2002 to visit Sumara and local children.

This is the second year that I haven't travelled to Mexico to see Papa Noel (alias Big Red Guy) land his sleigh and throw the big red sack over the shoulder to visit little travellers and local children to partake in the tradition of making sure that they feel the spirit of Feliz Navidad and the special treat of meeting Papa Noel in person.

Papa Noel will never ever forget the special day when he met Sumara and her family and all the other children. Rumour has it that he lost 6 pounds that day.

The following photos were taken at Playa El Requeson on December 25, 2002 shortly after sunrise. Story of "Papa Noel Suprises Sumara by Visiting El Requeson Baja DEc 25, 2002" to follow later today or tomorrow.

 Best Wishes to All Baja Nomads

The Sandspit is no obstacle to Papa Noel

He received the letter from Sumara and made certain to make a little girl's day bright with smiles. Sumara's mom Renata said that her little girl worried and worried for 3 weeks that Papa Noel wouldn't find here in the Baja, but he didn't miss her at all, as he had Playa El Requeson on his Sleigh Radar the whole time. He only needed to spot Sumara and the Green Poptop Bus and land on the little island attached to the beach by a sandspit.

I've been real good Santa

A beautiful hand crafted Traditional Mexican doll brings a big big smile to Sumara. Way better than a cheap toy from Wally world any day of the week.
