Best Baja Club and the worst

We probably belong to a Baja Club. What do you think is the best baja club and the worst...and why. I belong to the Fagabundos del Mar but am thinking of changing after 30 some odd years. They are becoming a click of Northern Californians. Who has the best insurance program and who get you your fishing license the fastest. Thank you--Russ Hatch

Sharkey, that depends on what you like most about Baja and what is convenient to you to use.

Discover Baja Travel Club http://discoverbaja.com happens to be my choice because they are here in San Diego County... right off I-5 as you are heading south. They have a huge selection of Baja books, and they sell to non-members, too. They have a quarterly magazine with great info and stories, and it is now edited by Graham Mackintosh!
They have insurance and the other stuff you might want to get before your trip... The owners are Hugh and Carol and I really like them... good people.

The worst is a company that takes membership money from people, never sends the membership kit, and will not give a refund even after doing what they request for one... One that books reservations at establishments who never heard of them... threatens nice people like Doug (Baja Nomad)... constantly tries to defame their competition... lies and makes up stories about good people... anyway, that would be the worst Baja travel club. No, I am not going to say the name, just be safe and use Discover Baja or Vagabundos del Mar.
