Check out this donation! Oct 24 pics added
Yesterday, Bajanomader Nappo and his buddy came to La Bocana for some fishing and fun. Nappo made my day by bringing me the most incredible donation
of fantastic goodies for the kids! Many kids will have beautiful smiles on their faces starting this week.....he says he went to Walmart and bought
everything on sale - 50 cents or less.
Local BajaNomader Feathers happened by as I was raving about the great donation and she put it so well" This is your Christmas, Blanca!"
and so it is. I am feeling ever so blessed.
Watch for those notebooks in the Christmas packages I put together for the 15 kids now in the college scholarship program!
thanks Nappo -I know you used to be a teacher and that is why you went out of your way, and my gratitude is immense!

and here is what we did today!
one class got the beautiful and colorful index cards and we learned 3 new verbs-
one of the new verbs was SING- so of course we had to learn a new song:
another class got the color pencils:
and they drew examples of comparisons which gave me a huge laugh!!
and the last class got really wonderful markers:
and we discovered all the vocabulary related to clothes and shoes:
NAPPER - I told them you had donated everything and they are thankful! We had a blast today and they really learned a lot - the markers and index
cards and color pencils help reinforce the material - as you well know!
Gracias, again.

What a thoughtful donation to you and your students! Not sure when I'll be down south again, but I'll keep an eye out for some good supplies.
(If I don't make it all the way to LB, is there a place where could I leave them for you or a friend to pick up?)

Lori,my mom lives in San Diego and drop offs are ALWAYS appreciated.
We will be there in December and if anyone wants to make Christmas special for the college teens- my request is for toothpaste, toothbushes, deodorant
(think hormones), bath soap and laundry soap - basic household needs!
The most pressing need is for used laptops-please buy your family new members ones and give us the old ones...pretty pretty please. No kid should
do high school or college without a computer. It ain't right.
The one that ElCap donated arrived today - actually it is the SECOND one he donated and it is going to Pablo. Pics and info on Pablo coming soon !
THANKS EL CAP - As Shari would say: YOU ROCK.
