Book recommendation

The Mexican Mind: Understanding and Appreciating Mexican Culture. Boye, Lafayette, DeMente.

A friend told me about a newer book that is very informative about the culture and history of Mexico. I found it very helpful and even though I have lived here quite some time and am fluent in Spanish, this book is chocked full of little tidbits that make understanding the culture easier.

It is available both paperback and Kindle from Amazon

Would take yrs., if ever, to get even a slight understanding of
Mex thought process. I think a Mex friend, aquaintance
will out of pure courtesy to us Gringos, let us believe we
are, at some basic level, understanding Mex mores, culture

By the way, Demente has another good book out from the late 1990s call "There's a Word for it in Mexico" along similar lines.
Thanks for the tip on the newer one.
