Let's play soccer this Sunday!

We have been VERY busy this week preparing for this weekend's game. The team practices every single afternoon, either on the main square or at their official spot -

HERE IS A PIC OF THE TEAM FROM THEIR LAST GAME:

I WENT TO THE SUPERMARKET AND WE BOUGHT CHICKEN, AVOCADOS AND TORTILLAS FOR 40 ...... THAT IS A GIRLS TEAM (11 PLAYERS AND SOME SUBS), A BOYS TEAM (11PLAYERS AND SOME SUBS)AND US ADULTS WHO WILL BE ACCOMPANYING THEM. WITH A COOPERATIVE DISCOUNT ITHE TOTAL CAME TO $1700 PESOS. OUCH. I AM EVER SO LUCKY THAT A BAJANOMADER GAVE ME SOME CASH TO GIVE ME THAT BOOST UNTIL THE KIDS WORK TO SUPPORT US.

WHALE-ISTA BOUGHT THE GATORADE POWDER AT COSTCO AND IT SHOULD ARRIVE AT THE END OF THE MONTH :)))

WE WILL BE DOING SOME ACTIVITIES LIKE CAR WASHES, BAKE SALES AND A GARAGE SALE -STARTING NEXT WEEK - WE MUST BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT AND THIS IS UP TO THE BOYS/GIRLS.

GREAT NEWS IS THAT THE FISHING COOPERATIVE "PROGRESO" DECIDED TO SUPPORT US WITH GASOLINE FOR THIS TRIP. IT WAS ENOUGH FOR THE BUS FOR THE GIRLS AND THE TWO CARS OF PARENTS WHO WILL BE DRIVING US (I PAID FOR MY OWN CAR AND WILL BE TAKING 3 KIDS).

HERE I AM WITH A HUGE SMILE AND A VOUCHER FOR 120 LITERS OF GASOLINE:

AND HERE WE ARE PREPARING THE FIELD HERE IN LA BOCANA FOR MONDAY PRACTICE WITH PROFE BEBO - WHO KINDLY HAS VOLUNTEERED HIS TIME. HE ALSO COACHES THE GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAM AND TEACHES FULL-TIME.

HERE IS THE PRACICE LAST THURSDAY:

OUR GAME AGAINST SAN IGNACIO IS TOMORROW - WE MEET AT 6:30 AM. LAST WEEK WE LOST -NOT SURPRISING SINCE THEY HAVE A COACH AND MY KIDS HAVE NOT BEEN COACHED TO DATE.

KEEP THOSE FINGERS CROSSED !!
