Nothing's changed.

No, you have not... what you describe is not me... and it is getting just a little old you keep up your delusion about that. Perhaps they said it was me and pretended to know how I talk and act in public. There are a hundred Nomads who have met me and many who may not share my politics, but as they will tell you, in Baja we don't talk politics around the campfire. I have never been in one place for hours, either. I like getting back to camp to the quiet. I tell anyone who calls me an expert or whatever that no, I just love Baja a lot and I am always learning more about it. I also make it clear there is much more Baja I do NOT know about than I do know about.
Now move on and bully someone else, I don't have time for liars. In fact, I don't talk bad about anybody I meet, because I meet only other great Baja Nomads... I know I never met you.

You never 'met' me because your upper lip was in the way; you never got the chance. But I did 'meet' you, Super-Dave.

I'm a lot of things, but a liar is not one of them.

And you have the nerve to call me delusional.

For the record, you really were a nice guy.

I still am nice, but please stop the story telling. I was never in a single social environment where I talk endlessly... As I recall, you originally claimed it was at Playa Buenaventura. I have only been there twice, both times with my wife, and we sat outside alone enjoying a beer and a burger. A little chat with Mark and Olivia, but mostly to hear them after what they went through. No one else. We were there no more than an hour and went back to our camp at La Perla.

Fine, David. First, I never claimed 'where', but since you brought it up, yuppers. You and your wife were inside at the bar, I believe had a burger, and yakked for quite a while.

Second, I LIVED at La Perla for 15 years, and was camped there at the time. You were 'on the road' and passing through from the south, and left late afternoon headed north so you could get to your destination before dark. Believe me, if you were camped at La Perla that particular day I would have known it.

Now who's the liar? Or just confused, perhaps? You see, some of us do take time to LISTEN, and have incoming as well as outgoing status.

Believe what you wish, DOOD. I could care less. Nothing's changed, or will. Hope your hands heal. Peace, out.

David,
I didn't know you were into Scientology....and am not sure if it would matter to me or not ( re: "You guys really think you know me" ) if you are/were.

Another thing I don't know is why/how this post of yours is a response to the thread topic :?:

There is a link between Hubbard/Scientology and Baja, which I believe has been reported on before on this board. Here's the historical reference (the Wikipedia reference is also linked and is an interesting read):

Following its return to Astoria, the USS PC-815 was ordered to escort a new aircraft carrier to San Diego, where the subchaser was to participate in exercises.[48] On June 28, Hubbard ordered his crew to fire four shells from the ship's 3-inch gun and a number of rifle and pistol shots in the direction of the Coronado Islands, off which the ship anchored for the night. He did not realize that the islands belonged to Mexico, an ally, nor that he had taken the USS PC-815 into Mexican territorial waters.[49] The islands were garrisoned by Mexican Navy personnel during the war.[50] The Mexican government complained and two days later, Hubbard found himself before a naval Board of Investigation in San Diego. He was found to have disregarded orders by carrying out an unsanctioned gunnery practice and violating Mexican waters. He was reprimanded and removed from command, effective July 7.[49] Rear Admiral Frank A. Braisted commented, in a fitness report written shortly after the Coronado incident, that he "consider[ed] this officer lacking in the essential qualities of judgment, leadership and cooperation. He acts without forethought as to probable results. He is believed to have been sincere in his efforts to make his ship efficient and ready. Not considered qualified for command or promotion at this time. Recommend duty on a large vessel where he can be properly supervised."[51]

This is an article about that Danish compound that was the subject of some discussion here awhile back:

The latest on the Mexican arrest warrant out for the leader:

6 Jan 2014
Mexican police seek fugitive Amdi Petersen

Mogens Amdi Petersen, founder of Tvind and leader of the Teachers Group (TG), is now being sought by the Mexican police.

“Mexican authorities have received an order to arrest and deport him,” Jose Manjarrez, a spokesperson for Mexico's public prosecutor, told the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten. “We haven’t found him yet, so the search continues.”

One of the Tvind Teachers Group's international headquarters, TG Pacifico, is located at San Juan de las Pulgas on Mexico’s northern Baja coast. Danish authorities have suspected Petersen of staying at the facility since he was seen there by a Tvind defector on several occasions in 2010.

Petersen and four other TG leaders have been listed as ‘wanted’ by Interpol since August 2013. Danish prosecutors had requested the Interpol arrest warrant after Petersen and the others failed to appear in court on charges involving a multimillion-dollar tax-fraud and embezzlement scheme.

Besides Petersen, the defendants are Kirsten Larsen, Marlene Gunst, Sten Byrner and Christie Pipps (a.k.a. Kirsten Fuglsbjerg).

A spokesman for the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ole Mikkelsen Egberg, told Jyllands-Posten:

“It is true that we have asked the Mexican authorities for assistance in the search for the Danes, who are accused by the High Court in that case.”

Denmark has no extradition treaty with Mexico, but in August 2013 the Danish ambassador to Mexico, Susanne Rumohr Hækkerup, indicated cautious optimism.

“Mexico has become increasingly more integrated with international police investigations, and we see far more extraditions today than we did 15 to 20 years ago,” she told Jyllands-Posten.
