Most TT have flimsy FG doors. And flimsier yet storage hatches, with primitive lock that can be opened with any key. And, if your TT is like most of them - with front bed - then it is possible to get in through the front storage hatch and lift the bed. If they want to get in, they will. Break-ins rarely happen on camps with live-in owner. I've been leaving mine for a few years now (on another camp), and simply flying back, faster and cheaper.

You are correct on the one outside hatch that I need to work on but the main door has been remade and with a dead bolt. They could always just kick a window in though.
Thanks to all the help here the trip is in the planning right now but a few months away.
Alm- you say you fly down? Your own plane? I have a Mooney that I might get back to flying down there this year. I do 100+ hr/yr NOB.

No, Cliffy - plane would've been one toy "too many". I'm using commercial flights and ABC/Aguilla bus.
