Mexican election laws and liquor sales

With the State elections this weekend, be prepared for liquor sales being suspended from Saturday morning through Sunday..

Should make it interesting in Ensenada during the Baja 500 race this weekend up North...

Stock-up!

Democracy is like two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.

I remember a particular Stupor-bowl Sunday that a bar owner paid a fair-dinkum of mordida to the local constabulary(s) so it could be a private gringo party to watch the game. Palms were greased, doors were closed, and at the middle of the 'private' fiesta, guess what...... more mordida due. After all costs, and all bar bills paid, it was a push.

T'is the Mexicano tradicion. Of course, it wasn't that long ago here in Estados Unidos Norte that votes were bought and paid for........ in whiskey.

Yes, stock up. Better to have and not need, than need and not have, por que ch*nga NO?
