There was a similar article in the San Diego newspaper on Sunday. The Coronado Islands off of Tijuana are 11 miles from the entrance to San Diego bay. I used to go scuba diving there in my runabout. Lots of boats from San Diego head there for fishing/diving and hanging out overnight in the calm waters on the leeward side of the islands.

Sounds like we're going to need to abide with the bureaucracy.

The dude abides.

Excellent observation. Does anyone know what a Mexican charter operation would need to do to fish in US waters?

call the neighbors to the south corrupt, lazy or just nice - they made life easy for a lot of Americans in the past. Party is over. No passport - no entry. No (temporary) importation papers for your boat - no fishing. Wanna guess where it started?
Wanna guess what will happen when Trump gets more power?

even Trump could not pull that off with his project - so, get ready for the new reality.
