I have been running errands all over the last few days and saw no highway slow down. Esme got a parking ticket yesterday, trash was picked up etc.The town even hired heavy equipment to scrap the dried mud on the streets. No strikes, But there has been demonstrations, flyers passed out and many posts on FB.

Mud in Mulege? Say not so! It sounds as if the employees were impeding traffic at Santa Rosalia...Business as usual then......

Form a post on the Chivato Board... the county workers haven't been paid in some 3-1/2 months, both here in Mulege and Sta. Rosalia. The workers have finally walked off their jobs. Today and continuing into tomorrow there is a highway blockade in Sta. Rosalia. There is no easy resolution at hand. The municipal president has not been seen for a long time - his whereabouts are unknown. The County General Secretary (acting as leader now) hopes to sell some property to the local government to pay the workers. Doesn't look good, in my opinion. Look for posts (I'm posting updates on Talk Baja) not Baja Nomad.
