La Cuesta has now been paved! I heard it was to help out the fishermen down at El Barril...

Hopefully this helps them get their catch in and out...It should also help them as they go for health care, shopping, trips etc.. I don't suspect it will turn into a resort soon.

can you guys get a room? the decades old beating on DKs rear view mirror is tired. move on!

ignorance is bliss=ignore him if you don't need to know the monthly movements of the Jesuits 200 years ago or how plate tectonics relate to hot summers in Baja in the modern era!

As with most of the liars around Nominds. BummerDan had to change my quote to get his point across. Ya can't get it correct, Bummer, you need to stay in the Coop.

Sometimes they have gas there but not always. There is a ranch and camp area about 5 or so miles before there that has a sign they have gas but did not when were there in Jan.

First of all, welcome to the forum! If you have been following it for a while, you already realize that not every one on this board is interested in just sharing information, but it is easy to ignore (to a point).

What is your time frame for your ride? I may be able to haul food and fuel for you. And what does 'dirt biking green door' mean?

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

The "Green Door Trail" is a section of sandy /rocky road that is a "shortcut" of sorts between BoLA and San Francisquito that bypasses Punta San Rafael....used to be marked by a auto/truck door at the north end of the route......someone "collected" the door marker in the past few years.....

. . .I really hope that Juan, Mingo & Rosa find the time & money to do some "fixing" at PSFO. . . No place quite like it. . .If you have never been there it is hard to describe. . .In the past I have spent a week there with no other overnighters ( Other than slight headache ). . .Priceless tranquility. . . .At other times, Ya never knew who was gonna show up with what. . . Only the best memories in lotsa visits. . .

Curious to know, C205, do the 3 people mentioned in your post live there and manage the place, as did Genaro, Pepe, Chary and others from the past? . Been there at least 8 times since the early 80's and there's always someone care taking and collecting $ for camping or cabanas. Don't want to "squat" if the place is condemned and/or abandoned. Our favorite person was Pepe. To quote him: "This is your home for the week..its a magical place...enjoy your visit" Indeed magical.

I assume that is the route by way of San Pedro.

Done that route in the past

It was a nice alternative several years ago. Of course Odile may have had its way with the route.

Hombre. . . Usually go down in October; did not go down in 2014 as Juan indicated that the roof was down in the big palapa next to the kitchen. . .Knew Javier & Charry ( her small donkey used to hang out in the KITCHEN ); then the couple that worked with them ran the place ( from GN; went to work in BOLA; no name of Pepe ); then Genaro was there & his cousin / nephew helped out & when Genaro passed it was Juan, Mingo & Rosa - been that way since Genaro. . .Story about Genaro. . . Flew in right after a hurricane & they were low on food but rich in flies & mosquitos so I told Genaro us 3 were gonna go to GN; did he want to go; said yes as he needed to load up on tomatoes, potatoes, limes, avacados, chickens, potatoes, propane, etc. . .Only flew down with 3 seats; sooo, we got a folding lawn chair & TADA. . .Seating for 4 & off we went. . .EASY inspection at GN & lunch at Malarmios, , ,Came back with a planeload of "stuff" & insect repellant. . .
