We want to rent your Landcruiser/Landrover in Baja Sur!

Baja Bound 2016! New Year, New Adventure! My girlfriend and I are leaving the Pacific Northwest rain behind and heading to Baja for the first time. We'll be spending a week exploring and preparing for the overland trip I've been planning for years! We've almost hit the expiration date on some airline miles (sadly leaving our 'Cruiser behind) and thought we'd fly down for a shorter trip to get a feel for the area and driving conditions. We'll be there in January and will most likely plan a loop spending a few days on the road and several days in La Paz. (recommendations welcome, of course!) We'd love to spend the time in a Lancruiser or similar vehicle rather than a rental car!! (Old jeeps and beater 4x4's welcome)

Let us know any input you have or if you can help with a vehicle.
Thanks!

Make sure the front drive shaft is there and the 4WD works... in the past, Baja Sur rental Jeeps had the four wheel drive system disabled or removed. The thinking was to keep you from going off road! LOL

Thanks Ricardo! I sent them an email and awaiting a response

DavidK--I will double check underneath. We aren't looking to go tearing it up. I just don't want to take a rental car down gravel roads and risk beating it up.

Boojumman- I hear ya! That's what I have in the stable. Are you on expo portal?

Mula--will check it out!

Thanks for all the help guys :)

Y'all come back now!

Welcome to the forum, and it shows that you have the right stuff by acknowledging, and responding to the reply's you received! You would be surprised how many first time posters are never heard from again.

There are lots of older posts to browse that can give you some ideas for your trip, but don't over think it! Have fun, and let us know how things went!
