Mulege Yellowtail Tournament

Ok, all you fishermen, get your gear ready, put new line on your reels, and get set to enter the best yellowtail tournament in February. Even if you are not a fisherman, then you can certainly enjoy the dinner Saturday night with a live band at Seņor Geckos Restaurant or the Awards dinner with live music from the Baja Beat at Jungle Jims on Sunday. So there is a little something for everyone whether fisherman or Lookie Lou.

That is because you win so many of these tourneys that I told them to charge you double. I think they let you off cheaply.

The entry fee per angler is 800 pesos and the reason is:

Last February the exchange rate was 14.97/$1 and 600 pesos was $40.08 USD.

This February the exchange rate is 18.91/$1 - with that the entry fee was raised to 800 pesos or $42.30 USD.

The entry fee does get the angler a Saturday Night dinner ticket at Sr. Gecko's, the Sunday Banquet at La Jungla, the commemorative fishing tournament tee shirt and a raffle ticket for the anglers only raffle with a guaranteed prize for every angler.

Hope this helps with the misprint on the banner.

Hmmm... let us consider the economy of this Tournament.

T shirt $20
Dinner/Dance $20
Awards dinner $20
Prize and an Amazing Fun Time $priceless

Today $800 pesos is about $42 US. I would say entering puts me ahead of the game, whether I fish or not!!!

There were some on Facebook, nothing exotic like pics of the winning fish. I was too busy with a guitar to take shots but if I find some, I will post them for you.
