Our 4 rigs: Two TJs with 33s one JK 4 door with 35s, and my Bronco with 35s.
IMO, Full size pickup - not crew - with 33s can deal with the road near Mikes SR.
Tire placement is the key and one can always use a spotter.
Stock Cherokee will touch metal due to lack of clearance and probably make it. Only 2 hard spots.

Hmmm tempting now that I've ditched the Cherokee. It would be just me in my lifted long wheelbase landcruiser on 33s with sliders.

Howa the weather up in the national park? I've never been there in winter.

I think I'll skip san Pedro martir - we could be comfortable for the night but I'm not equipped for any winter survival situations if anything went wrong and its a wee bit chilly up there.

As for coyote ... Very tempting but probably not worth it on this trip if I'm not continuing up to the park. Maybe later this summer.

I have had great weather in the park in late march and april. Nights are chilly, days are sunny and warm. Cold nights no problem, just have a campfire. snow only comes from storms off the pacific, and forecast for those is readily available. So if the weeks forecast has no storms, then just do it. The current forecast shows one minor moisture event this monday (no moisture expected south of san diego), followed by a week of high pressure.

Good to know - we ended up at Laguna Hanson but I will keep san Pedro martir on the agenda for future march trips (I usually come down in march).
