Lousy Champagne ?

The subject reminded me of a "Movie" that I'd seen many years ago titled "Champagne Charlie" (1989) Starring Hugh Grant as Charles Heidsieck.

As one who would buy a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck to bring in the New Year back in the '60s-'70s, I found the movie (mini-series) OK at the time.

Checking out Netflix last night and finding it available, I found that, reading the reviews, it was considered by just about ALL as a REALLY LOUSY movie in virtually every respect.

NOW, I have to wait for it to arrive to revisit what I must have missed.

As to the Champagne itself............................THAT is another example of the illusion of Nostalgia.

Or, perhaps, the aging of the Taste-Buds ?

A few years back, before New Years Day, I ran across an outlet selling Piper-Heidsieck and bought a bottle.

Finding it disappointing.

Some things are best simply "remembered".

That's no fun. Half the fun of drinking a bottle is uncorking the bottle and shooting the cork, outdoors, indoors, just make sure to have fun shooting projectile

That's how this guy ended up with a free Ipad not made by Apple:
