San Ignacio Fiesta 7/30-31

The traditional annual fiesta in San Ignacio is this weekend. So many events from dancing to car races and more.

La Bocana empties out almost completely ... everyone wants to bailar!

If you have never gone, Juanita of Casa Leree (no longer active as a B&B) puts out hundreds of photos from way back when - the rancheros and the first residents. Amazing history to be seen.

We happened upon San Ignacio during the fiesta in 2007... It was a madhouse of noise, carnival, loudspeakers, I did get to show Baja Angel the mission and little rock art museum before we got out of there, however.

There was a tropical downpour that day, too!
