Maximum fuel prices in Baja, effective August 1st, 2016...

Maximum price fuel prices allowed in Mexico starting August 1st, 2016...

Magna.............$ 13.96 pesos per liter
Premium..........$ 14.81 pesos per liter
Diesel..............$ 13.98 pesos per liter

These prices are in liters... since 1 gallon = 3.7854 liters and today (August 1st, 2016) 1 dollar = $18.00 pesos (+/-), we can calculate the approximate price per gallon:

Magna.............$ 2.935 dollars per gallon
Premium..........$ 3.114 dollars per gallon
Diesel..............$ 2.939 dollars per gallon

Remember that these are maximum prices allowed, which means you may find lower prices at some Gas Stations. Also fuel prices along the border are still matched with those at the US border side, so they are different that in the rest of the country.

Gracias Antonio!
We hope to see you again in September! Baja Angel really enjoyed our vacation in July including visiting with you in El Rosario.

For what it is worth, I make a point of using and refilling my extra five gallon gas jug just before I head north. My chainsaws seem to run better on Mexican gas, and I believe it has a longer shelf life
than the California blends!

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

That's what happens when ethanol isn't added to your gasoline.

How is the peso to dollar rate at various Pemex stations looking now (mid-August)?

I saw 19:1posted somewhere at a casa de cambio!
