Special classes for Maria at TEC La Paz

hello all - yesterday I met up with 2of the sponsored students here in La Paz. It was awesome to catch up on news. The other 4 were preparing for exams and could not make it to dinner.

Mary,, the future biochemist on the right, want to go for her doctorate! She is currently a senior and has to take special English classes to the tune of $300.

Anybody want to help out with this challenge? Her classes start next month- Nov. 2016.

She is an excellent student and I would be happy to send her schedule of classes and grades to anyone who might be interested! Her classes will cover 8 levels.

She is a sweetheart. Originally from San Ignacio and works like a dog in school - I am very proud of how far she has come.

Anyone?

I should also mention Julian - the one we all sent to northern California. He is getting straight A's so far and as you can see from his smile, he is doing great! He had a breakup with a girlfriend that really upset him for a while and he moved into his own place. It is close to college so he is happier....I went to see it last night and it was spotless. I gave him a bunch of food (to share with the other students as well).

He needs a table and some chairs to eat on and maybe one sofa or armchair if anyone here in La Paz has something to donate. We will be back here on the 13th and could feasibly pick anything up and take it over to him. The livingroom and kitchen are bare and he never asked for anything......this is my dream that he have at least somewhere to eat on!
