Erle Gardner Camp site - Hovering over Baja
Been rereading Erle Stanley Gardner's book Hovering Over Baja and wondering where they camped in the canyon.
The first time they hiked/rode the Pak-Jaks in. No luck on that site.
The second time they used a helicopter to ferry everything in.
Looking at the picture on page 195 in the book and google earth and this looks like the spot.
Anybody hike or drive into there?
The first pic has the scale exaggerated ... it is hard to get the same view from Google Earth and GE likes to round off peaks and ridges.

Thanks Larry! Gonna go read that thread now.
David, I read the first 15 pages of the thread you posted, Thanks.
Mark on the Fat tire bicycle didn't even come close unless he went back a 3rd time, have only read the first 15 pages.
Here is Mark's spot location in the center and my guess for Gardner's camp at the top of the pic...

Yes, Mark returned and went all the way to the gulf then used a canoe to go south with his bike. Amazing adventures inspired by a man who loved Baja
and sharing it with the world.

Yeap, just finished reading it, AMAZING!
Looks like he entered the canyon right at Gardners campsite too.

AND .... I also learned from you that thread that you can have more post per page which I promptly fixed, now it is a 12 page post instead of 23!
