Restaurant fire in La Ribera

Last night the late Mike O'dell's restauran,t La Trinidad, burned to the ground.

I'll report more about it as I learn more. In the meantime I'm putting out a BOLO for Capt. Keith.

Rumours?

Was business slow or did someone have a grudge?

Love a good rumour, regardless of veracity....

That's too bad. First La Costa goes up in flames and then La Trinidad. Tough to run a marina side restaurant in La Ribera these days.

Such a bummer. It will be missed.

Could someone refresh my memory regarding the La Costa fire? Was this recently? And where exactly was La Costa? We haven't been down since early 2015.

Thanks.

OMGosh - our friends just ate there a couple days ago and said it was an excellent meal!

This is very sad indeed.

La Costa in San Antonio Del Mar (Norte). We've had a casita there about 10 yrs. I never saw it open. Fire was about a month or 2 ago (?). Couple of walls standing. Unknown origin of the fire.

La Costa just west of the lower Pemex in La Ribera. Burned down under mysterious circumstances 2? Years ago. The owner is about to open another restaurant somewhere in La Ribera - not open as of October when we were last down. The old restaurant is still a burnt hulk just across the street from the public beach entrance.
