When David visited me and we went 4x4 he showed me tracking device. I should have one as when I ride solo. I leave word with a local if I'm not back in so many hours come get me. Only problem I see If I text 20 local numbers in town. Not one answers dead battery/ phone not with me/cant find phone Or don't want talk to you JAAAAAAA. David can you return my Vise grips JAAAAAA. Kidding aside good investment to stay safe.

Yes! Your vise grips, and that piece of rubber from Michael Diogo, both allowed me to drive home from Rancho El Coyote. I am working on the new roadguide every day and as soon as I am able to go back to Baja to finalize any data, it would be an honor to return them or a new pair to you! Plus, have another nice visit (that restaurant in San Vicente 'Mi Ranchito' was great).

Ged, I will see what I can do! ;)

Baja Bound just published the November on-line newsletter and it contains my story from last month's drive to the observatory: https://www.bajabound.com/bajaadventures/bajatravel/san_pedr...

Cutting the cord is liberating until someone breaks down, get hurt or gets lost. An outgoing message once a day is not that invasive, and prevents others from forming a search posse. Worth it to me.
