On development in Baja
Los Barriles, has a Pemex that is out of gas quite often, there are no banks, everything is expensive here and they have at least 3 realty offices
that are always busy.
Guess whos buying?

You know, the ones that just chime in to either stick up for themselves (P-nche gringos) or to call someone they don't have a clue about names and
talk bad about where they live.
It's true, Rosarito is a gringo enclave but it's a hell of a lot more fascinating, (lifelike) and action oriented than most any of the u.s. places
most of yalll live in.
Comparatively speaking, Los Barriles is basically a morgue!!

From what i see, most development is geared towards elderly or retired americans, i see a business opportunity here.

age of newbie-buyers to Baja..
Actually, times, retirement age, etc. are changing...most of today's Baja buyers are lots younger than most buyers were when I bought 30 years ago.
Also a whole lot more active lifestyles.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

knows of what he speaks. Most of the buyers in Los Barriles are international windsurfers who want part time homes here.
Same in Rosarito but there it's more just a bunch of people who like to drink a lot.
Most of the depends crowd drive motorhomes and have no desire for a -permanent residence.
But, speaking of depends, when we first moved to Rosarito, we were driving by Renes with a friend. He said "that bar doesn't have any bathrooms".
We were somewhat surprised until he said "that's because everyone that goes there wears depends so they don't need any".
