Vaya Con Dios, Shirley Wimberley, beloved wife of TMW
With great sadness, I have learned that TW's (Tom) wife of 50 years has passed away.
Elizabeth and I were fortunate to meet Shirley on our first Baja trip together back in 2004 when she and TW joined us at the Camp Gecko campfire
circle.
We wish Tom to have peace now that Shirley has joined the angels and is free of any earthly pain and discomfort. She will be forever in our hearts and
minds.
Tom recently shared their anniversary announcement here on Nomad: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=92510#pid1155...

That just sucks... I wish there were words to help, I know of none. I wish you gods speed in the healing.

I never met Shirley, or Tom, but it saddens me to hear that a member of our community has been dealt such a loss!

Thank you all, much appreciated. It was hard but not unexpected due to her long illness with COPD. The end came pretty fast. She went on hospice on
Saturday and went into a coma like state Monday morning. Her death came when her sister arrived at noon on Wednesday. We think that is what she was
waiting for. All the other members of the family were here or had talked to her while our daughter held the phone to her ear.

I hope, she had peace, My thoughts are with you. I lost my wife 3 years ago and still have no words for the loss. I still sucks. You were a team,
fighting COPD made you more of a team. Now it's you without the team.

Oh Tom, you were her hero! By her side through thick and thin. We should all be so lucky.
I wish you peace in your heart, 50 years is a looooong time.
May she RIP now, free from all suffering.
Sorry I missed you when you were here last but thanks so much for stopping by.

I remember meeting Shirley on the Baja Pole Line Road in 2005. She happily got out of TWs pickup to snap a picture on the cobblestone hill, as is
customary on the run. My sincere condolences TW for your loss.

Exactly! Wow, what a great trip, 50 (fifty) years! Don't dwell on the loss, celebrate her life! Well done and congratulations to both of you for a job
well done. She's in the arms of the Angels now... RIP..
