BUMP...A non-Baja travel warning! It's harvest time in northern CA
(From 2019)...I thought that before P.G.E. shuts off my power again (probably within the hour) I would take a moment to warn any
visitors to Northern California to be careful where they wander!
Although marijuana can be grown legally in California, the overwhelming percentage of grow operations are illeagal! Beside the
illegal growers, there are thieves that would rather steal product than produce it.
There are also law enforcement activities going on around some of the more blatant operations, so you don't want to be in the middle of things where
mistaken identity can be a problem with any one of the three groups I mentioned!
An El Dorado county sheriff's deputy was killed, and another wounded this week responding to a call from a grower about thieves on his plantation! I
can smell the skunky odor on a regular basis around here lately!

Yep, every where I ride in the foothills seems to smell like skunk now! To each their own but I don't want to get shot for going down the wrong dirt
road or hiking the wrong trail! AK, that was a good reminder to put out there, and RIP to the loss of another deputy for some senseless act!

I live in the Emerald Triangle, Northern California and this is a scary time for many of the locals with armed-home invasions for the processed pot,
strangers facilitating the transport of the illegal stuff out of our forests, etc. I don't have a problem with people that choose to use, I do have a
problem with everybody else that must suffer for their choices. My Daughter's Asthma that is triggered by the spores and odor, we must monitor and
medicate her breathing 24 hrs a day during this time of the year, the rest of the year, no problem. The people standing on our road holding Baseball
Bats and giving "stink eye" to everybody that drives up or down the road is quite irritating for those of us that try to follow the laws of our land.
OK, I will get off of my Soapbox, I guess I just need some Tacos. JH

My son is CHP in NorCal. For three years he partnered with Forest Service and Fed DEA raiding meth labs and pot farms. A TV show featured one of his
group. Northern forests are no longer safe for public use.

The same is true in chihuahua, Durango, and parts of Sinaloa. Lots of suburbans ect with heavy tinted windows zooming around back roads.

2020 update!
It's that time of the year again, and the skunk is in the air. It has been a bad year for some growers, losing crops to the fires, or getting busted
trying to save them with an army of firefighters and Sherriff's deputies in the evacuation areas.
The owner of the property next to mine moved his operation into a makeshift barn area, but he isn't fooling anybody. He has PG&E service to his
place, but runs a large generator pretty much all the time.
The growers that worry me most are the ones who are setting up on land that they have no right to. Be careful if you think you may have stumbled into
one of those areas!

We live just four miles outside the city
Skunk air started last week
Hard to tell where it comes from but it sure is obvious
Last year guy across the street had a major grow in his garage and one acre backyard

It is legal to grow your own in calif, so why are people still buying weed?
Plant your own high-potency weed. A couple plants will give you enough for a year. Store it right and it will keep for a year.
Woke!

will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.”

This pot problem had been going on over 20 years . Surly by now if the US wanted to stop it. They do have the resources to do it. Let's rename nor
cal to nor Mexico.

That's a pretty inane post, Goat. Growing a veggie garden is legal, too, does that mean everyone grows veggie gardens? Do you consider people who buy
veggies at the store to be stupid?
Not everyone is interested in growing things. It's not like you just get some seedlings and water them. Gardening, no matter what you are growing,
requires knowledge, time, and interest if you are going to get a good crop, no matter what you're growing.
