For Blanca... about pixel width on Nomad.
I pretty much post at the MAXIMUM Nomad width, 800 pixels, so details like on maps are easier to view. Some of my images are at the recommended forum
size of 640 pixels, big but not full page width.
Here is a sample of what the various pixel widths are, available from PostImages.org reduced from the original (the box says "do not resize my
image"). Click on the drop down menu for the following choices...
800:
640:
320:
Then there is 150 (thumbnail) and 100 (avatar).
Upload setting is done before selecting the image. You use the Hotlinks for forums link to paste on Nomad (it is next to then bottom of the many kinds
of links offered).
Have fun "post imaging"!

You do not need to do this. Read what I posted above. It is MUCH easier. And doesn't change your photo's. Just makes them display properly on
here.

This is 100% the wrong way to do it. I really wish you would stop posting this and confusing people.
What you just did could be done with a "=800x" after the "img". 800 being the pixel size.
The only way your suggestion would make sense is if two things were true: 1) you were 100% sure Nomads is the only place ppl will show off their
photos AND 2) you are 100% sure Doug won't upgrade the board's software in the future.
ALWAYS upload your photos in their original size. Whether you are doing that on Postimg, Photobuck, Google Photos, or Apple.
STOP giving bad advice on this topic.

Blanca. Do an edit of your post and you will see that Doug fixed it exactly the way I suggested. He inserted "=800x" after "img".
[img=800x]link to photo[/img]
No need to resize in paint. No need to change the upload parameters in Postimage.

JZ, rather you manually enter =800x into the IMG tag every time you post a photo or you simply click resize to 800 when you sign on to PostImages.org,
the SAME thing happens, only you don't need to keep typing in =800x over and over.
Sine you frequently don't resize, it is easy to see that that extra work is often forgotten. By selecting the resize tool when you sign on to
PostImages (or whatever hosting site you use), it saves that work and prevents the mistake of not manually adding in =800x.
Photobucket, slowing getting worse over the years removed the resizing tool, so any new photos added there requires the manually adding =800x.
We can only hope that someday, Baja Nomad will have a built-in photo resizer, like Facebook has, so hosting photos at third party sites, like
Postimages or Photobucket, won't be needed any more. Until then, PostImages.org is extremely easy, free, and user-friendly. You only need to change
one setting, from "Do not resize my image" to 800 or smaller, for Baja Nomad posting.
