This cat has 7 lives! Ooops 9 lives!!
At the end of May, to my dismay, I saw a cat in the window of our friend Gary's garage! It was in terrible condition.
Gary had been gone for 2 weeks so this kitty had had no water and no food (mice perhaps?) for two weeks. I called around, finally got hold of Gary
who lives in northern California, who suggested we break out part of the back garage door and let the cat out.
I recruited husband Les (who was not too happy as it was his naptime) to please cut open the door for me. He did and left for his nap.
I grabbed a chair, grabbed my phone and sat for an hour with no sign of kitty. I began to think she had died in the hour it took me to open the spot
on the door when VOILA!!! She poked her nose out to sniff the water and meat I had left on the step. Then she grabbed some meat and rushed back in.
So, I moved the meat down a step and waited some more.
Hunger won out and she came out to eat! Les came back to patch up the door. We left lots of food and water and a neighbor was going to keep it up.
That's the story folks! I tell you, it was a total fluke that I saw this cat. No one walks where I was walking and usually the reflection does not
allow one to see inside. Good day all around.

Damn, poor thing. Hopefully, Frito (Frita`s husband) found some morsels to munch on like lizards or mice or cucarachas. Great job on the save! WTG Les
and Blanca!

Hahahaha Love the name Frito!
Notice that the water bowl we left has doggie bones on it. It was one of the many bowls we had for our dog Rex.

Side note, Blanca...are the village kids out of school like here in Pescadero?! These young kids are gonna have a hard time making up for such a loss
of time especially those that had been pushing the threshold of learning to read and write. Have you retired or possibly entertaining thots of
tutoring?? Old teachers don't give up easily!

tio, I am done teaching. I will continue to mentor forever, though! Local youngsters are indeed not in classes.

I thought they started with 9 lives but whatever, the cat was rescued and one or two lives subtracted. When you have an outdoor cat you are always on
edge when the sun sets. Dang cat, come on in so you won`t get eaten by some predator.
Good luck Blanca and Les and kitties.

You are so right, no idea where I got 7 lives from! He now has 8 left, or maybe 7 if we consider how traumatic 2 weeks in a hot garage with no food
or water must have been.
I am so happy that I saw this cat...and was able to save it.

Yes, I did!
Born in NY to Brazilian parents who spoke only Portuguese at home.
I flunked kindergarten because I did not speak English well enough but I learned real fast!!
It may be 7 lives in Brazil but I here, honestly made a mistake. For sure, it is 9 that I meant to say.

So a Mexican cat only gets 7 lives? I guess it balances out, because they probably live them much slower S.O.B.!
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

When they flog you in Mexico, they do it with a cat of seven tails!
And they only sell Seven Lives cat food!
