A dear friend and Baja Nomad has died...

It is with great sadness that I just read we have lost 'Baja Rob' of Bahía Santa María/ Campo San Carlos, Baja California.

He is survived by his wife, Connie and I know of at least one daughter he has mentioned when we were guests.

Memories live forever... like the time Rob & Connie came to our camp on Shell Island for a visit, bringing champagne... May 2011:

I first met Rob when he came to our Nomad 'Matomi Reunion' Camp at Nuevo Mazatlan, in 2004. We have been guests at their home several times, including when they had a famous New Years clambake party.

At the 2006 Pyramid Resort Book Signing:

The news was announced this morning on the South Campo Amigos Facebook page

You can use the search here and enter his name to see how hospitable Rob was and quite the community activist in the South Campos. He donated much to the poblado to help the school and children there at Delicias.
