Shoes and clothes and toys, oh my!

Two couples are staying at the hotel and although I had not met them before, I wrote asking if they had a chance to grab children's shoes from family and friends, to please bring them down. They did! what fun to see them sharing with Tidiana and Abraham's little ones this afternoon!

Here are the kids when they first arrived....all standing still and at a safe distance. Did not last too long although we sure tried.

Every child got something....and the guests brought clothes and toys as well, which made the kids so happy!

Rebecca brought a soccer ball because besides being a doctor, she plays soccer! She also has a sister with 6 kids who is going to donate clothes and shoes for when they return to La Bocana. Wowza!!!!

Rebecca and the soccer ball

Here is the whole gang on the hotel front porch. It was a win-win for all of us. Our hearts melted as we saw the kids loving everything they got.

BTW If any of you want to get donations for your own neck of the woods here in Baja, join the BUY NOTHING in the community you live in. Example: Buy Nothing La Jolla. Most folks prefer to donate to a neighbor since garage sales are no longer viable. I got a beautiful pair of shoes for Genesis while we were in San Diego. They were brand new, red and reminded me of Dorothy's shoes in the Wizard of Oz.

I hope this thread makes you smile! This is a great Tuesday!

Frida and even Boots were watching the whole scene.

and one of my favorite shots of the day - the close up of the kids' faces!
