Nice report over there, Ged. Already one new reply from a Nomad viewer.
I presume adding photos on that forum is easy, compared to here?

Gracias, David.
Yes about posting pics. Life these days seems more complicated just as I am trying to simplify it all.... so dancing through a myriad of apps and all
the techie crap makes me post a link rather than try to copy pics..... and let people do the work if interested....
If not, I won't go thru the pic posting hoops to appease the other lazy folks

It really isn't that hard here, but I understand the frustration. Doug has been promising to upgrade the site for years so we could just attach the
photos without the need to size them down first, or use a third party host, like Postimages.org.

I haven't driven it, but just traced the route on Google Earth. See attached.

started in 1986 from LA
many times every year
last 20 years I have lived in La Paz
I prefer routes few people travel
like the west to east crossing just north of La Paz
hadn't been done in 50 years
https://carlosnpainter.smugmug.com/Events/Uno-Baja-Extreme-A...
I have scouted and driven No Wimp Trail before it had a name.
I you ever need a trail that's not on the books yet - let me know.
I have a few.

here is the west to east crossing "Las Tarabillas" if anyone brave enough wants to do it.
MC would be easiest
4x4 will require scouting from both ends before attempting

This beach to the East of Concepcion, SoC side, looks really sweet.
Flew right by it a couple times on the boat. Will stop there next time. Or maybe ride the Zodiac down from the more accessible beach to the North.

Thanks, I see a couple of routes that I started down but turned back.. You obviously have better equipment than I have ever had and far more ability.
The latter certainly the more important.

I have had my eyes on that beach as well. There is a new road going almost half the way there. Maybe an overland expedition this winter?

I'm more of a boater at heart than an offroader.
The beach itself looks spectacular. However, what makes it really special to me is there are almost 10 little bays in the 2 miles around it.
Would love to drop the anchor at the main beach, and then explore to the North and South on a Zodiac. Getting in between tight rocks like those on an
inflatable is incredible fun. You always see some really interesting things.
I'll go by boat and meet you there, how does that sound?

Harald, let me know if you come up with a date in mind. If the timing is right, I would like to give it a shot!
My only attempt to reach the east side was in 2016, and ended at a closed gate. I don't know if it was even locked, but I decided to turn back and
keep heading south with the couple of hours of daylight left.
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!
