Peveril Meigs

What with the running of the 2021 Baja 1000 today, I thought I'd show a photo of driving Baja the "way it used to be" -

Geographer and writer Peveril Meigs (1903-1979) and his trusty Ford

Nice!
Peveril documented the land, people, and historic sites in northern Baja, south to Mission San Fernando and east to San Matias Pass.
All of Meigs' 1920s photos (over 400) are at https://library.ucsd.edu/dc/collection/bb44383797
