Yamaha Enduro?
There are a number of these showing up in NorCal, brand new, good price. This 75HP is $2K, 40HP for $950. I did a little search on Yamaha's website
and found them, 2 strokes for heavy, daily use. Pre-mix fuel, so no internal oil tank. Curious if anyone has run across these before.

Work horse of Latin America. Up until a few years ago, these tiller steering two strokes were found in fresh and saltwater under daily commercial use
throughout the Americas. Four stroke motors have been replacing them more recently. I have seen them deep in the Amazon in Equador and Peru, as well
as the Pacific in Alaska, Mexico, El Salvador, Panama, Peru, and Ecuador,....The Caribean, in Colombia, Honduras, ..... Built in Brazil, parts are
readily available, they are known to be bullet proof, dependable machines and respected by professional watermen as such.
I've had a 48hp Enduro on my panga for 12 years. After a cooling issue that was due to not replacing the impeller in time, I seized the motor. I was
relieved by my mechanic whom bored and installed a sleeve in the cylinder, and a new piston and rings. Good as new, running strong to this day.
Fuel consumption is probably close to 30% more than my 50hp four stroke, but it is much lighter, stronger, and not a target for theft as is the 4
stroke.
Overall a great motor with a proven past under tough conditions.
The 48hp. new in La Paz was around $4200, that was 12 years ago. Those prices sound like a great deal, although as a two stroke, you can't use them in
freshwater up north in many places, and finding service NOB might be an issue, (here in Mexico, no problem).
Not that I need another motor, but where are they at that price? and are they tiller drive? I've got friends that might be interested.

I bought a about 6 of these in the 70s and 80s in belize.
Bullet proof motors.
Most I was familiar with were in daily commercial use and never saw a fresh water rinse.

Looks like old-timey 2-stroke. Are they carbureted or direct injection?
I think only CARB star-rated outboards can be sold NEW in California.
None of the carbureted 2-stroke outboard motors got star rating.
Woke!

Man, I'd love to get my hands on a 9.9hp.
They are 25 pounds lighter than a 4 stroke. Much easier to handle went putting on and taking off an inflatable.

My thoughts, exactly. I've contacted the seller for more info to get a feel for legitimacy.

This is starting to look like a scam. The seller was very quick to respond to my inquiries right up until I asked where I could pay and pick up my
motor. That was two days ago. It's looking like he takes your money and "delivers" the motor free of charge.
