Tijuana International Beer Festival
More than 60 craft beer breweries from Mexico and San Diego will be at the event
The Tijuana International Beer Fest has announced its first festival edition in Tijuana on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the Estadio
Caliente parking lot. This event will have music, food and a lot of beer, with more than 60 craft beer breweries from Mexico and San Diego.
Musical guests for this event will be Little Jesus, RAMONA, John Tejeda, Soul of Hex, among others.
Some of the breweries that will attend the event are: Cervecería Transpeninsular, Wendlandt Cervecería, Rufián Cervecería, Cerveza Colibre,
Cervecería Averno, Ballast Point Brewing Company, Cerveza Fauna, and many more.
The event’s goal is “to promote the vibrant craft beer production movement that has been developing in Baja California and establish a point of
connection between brewers from both sides of the border,” stated Carlos González Gutiérrez, Consul General of Mexico in San Diego to San Diego
Union Tribune.
People coming from San Diego will be given transportation services once arriving in Tijuana and they will be guided to the Pueblo Amigo hotel. They
will be given a round trip to Estadio Caliente and back.
“The festival is looking to create dialogue between the brewer community and merchants from both sides of the border to establish links and promote
communication and binational support,” the Consul said.
“Tijuana, Mexicali, Ensenada, and all Baja California need to make it easier for people who live in San Diego to come and visit, to those people who
haven’t crossed the border in so long for several reasons. They need to realize with their own eyes how much they are missing by not taking
advantage of being so close to the border,” he added.

Looks like entry fee is $25. Does that mean no additional fee for beers?
Have to drink $25 worth of beer to make it worth my while,… that would make me ill.
Can’t one go and see the event and just get a single pint? Perhaps a $5 fee for a 1 pint visit?
Woke!

Or you can go to Fenway Park in Boston, where a pint of a craft beer (e.g. a "Green Monster" from Wachusetts Brewery) will set you back $16. Your
change will get you a medium-sized sausage.
